1998 Rally Temperatures

These are the temperatures recorded over the weekend using a data logger which
sat on a bike. The points to note are - Left Dunedin at 8:30, arrived on site about
10:30am.          Interesting to see the temp rise overnight.
Left again on Sun at about 11am, the big drop at the end around 1pm down
to 2 deg is over the road from Middlemarch where it was snowing at Lee Stream!

Thanks to Nigel Barrett, one of the OMCC members this information and log.

As you can see form the above the "Brass Monkey" did not live up to it's
reputation this year.

Below is a photo of the youngest member of the 10up Club.
This club is for people who have attended ten or more rallies.
Tim Johns was 9 years and 10 months old when he qualified
for his 10up membership at the 1998 rally.  As you can see he

has been coming in the sidecar with his parents.
